medallion bug? any fix?

hey people i was reading and think still in 2023 they never fixed the bug where i have 14 medallions and not 15. i finished the game and was trying to complete all quest and then found out that if you give hytham the medallions before u finsih main story that he gets bugged. so now i cant complete quest which feels really disappointing as ive put hours into game. any help would be nice

i thought u had to give hytham the last of the medallions so u get the mission for last person. how do i get key from king aelfred

im like 100% sure its bugged. im missing last clue to the order person which i believe u get from hytham after u give him last set of medallions. which i only have 14 so its doing that thing where its grayed out and i cannot complete the order of ancients quest which is mad dumb. they said they fixed it but it 1.7.0 and still not fixed, like come on ubisoft fix game

@xFLEMDOGx ... did you not receive a message from 'A Poor-fellow soldier of Christ'? ... try going to Aethelnay ... it is South west of Gloucester (over to the far left of the map) ... go there and go to the northern edge of the town ... by the stone oven you should meet the final medalion holder ... give it a try (p.s ... bit foggy on the memory as it was over two years ago I completed it ) :)

yea ill never buy another assassins creed game after this which is kinda upsetting. if many years after game is out and so many people had this problem kinda stupid. like i still have France and dawn of Ragnarok and im not going to put more hours into a game i cant finish. thanks for your help and ill guess ll post if i find a fix but probably not going to happen. i would even go as far as going into code to fix bug if i could.

i figured it out thanks tho. it was the dumbest thing but i found out how to initiate the king aelfred thing. its funny cuz out of all my research and trying to get help im surprised no one suggested it.

@xFLEMDOGx ... so was it the gaining of the missing message from haytham or your mailbox in the longhouse that worked? (just curios ... as I said ... it was back in May 21 that I did it )

lol i reached out to ubisoft and they didnt now either hahaha. i feel what people dont understand is u go to hamscuire or whatever its called on alliance board. BUT you have to go back to allaiance board after u beat game to do the kinf aelfred part which does that arc. i thought i checked it and completed it but was mistaken. also there is no videos people just show that its glitched or bugged and cant start it(like i did) in reality go check the alllliance board and u can satrt the king aelfred arc

Can confirm this bug is still prevalent now in Sptember, 2023.

Had 14, despite clearing the entire Order (including The Father).

Fast traveled to Vindland, as that's what the cause is (the one you get there gets stuck in the Vinland exclusive inventory)

Didn't work; still had 14.

Went back to England, and I suddenly had 3,292 of them. 🙄

Was thankfully able to turn in the 15 and finish that quest once and for all, but it is ridiculous that it hasn't been fixed yet.

Thank you @insanetigertig, that worked for me! I ended up with 1083 rather than 3292, but either way it's still over 15 haha

Hello @insanetigertig, I don’t want to be awkward lol but I sent you a friend request to try and contact you about how you fixed the medallion glitch. I tried everything I tried what everyone here has suggested and nothing has worked. I have 174 hours 36 minutes and 23 seconds in this game, I am at 453 power, and for the love of God I don’t want to start over I just wanna finish this breaking the order and get Thor’s gear, if there is anyway you can tell me what to do step by step (or anyone) it will be so very much appreciated!
