you should really ask Ubisoft. but when i have read about this error its most often if you allready own the game or any dlc's on more than one platform....
Nope, it s the only copy i own.
Steam responded to my ticket and indeed they said to reach out for ubisoft support team cause it s nothing that steam support can do about this , i m waiting to get a response from them

ohh well... hope you are patient soul... Ubi support is not known for day to day response.
:steambored:

Hope you get it to worke... the game is great imo. just to bad its nerfed by ubis game launcher, 3. party software and antimodding policy.

And so legit customers once again get the short end of the stick.

how did you solve this problem?
I had to open both launchers trough admin privileges and then it recognized my game

here's what they told me if it s not working for you to not wait an eternity for ubisoft to response "Firstly, please make sure you're launching Steam and Uplay with admin privileges, by following these steps : https://support.ubisoft.com/en-gb/faqs/000025662

Then, please, navigate to the Ubisoft Game Launcher "cache" folder, by default located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache

Open the cache folder and move the "ownership" folder to a safe location.

Once you have backed up that folder, delete the "cache" folder.

After deleting the cache folder, please verify the game files within Steam:

- Open Steam
- Right-click the affected game in your Steam library and select Properties from the drop-down
- Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button
- Steam will verify the game's files. This process may take several minutes
- Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit

If an issue is found, you will be given the option to Repair, click Repair. After repairing the issue, please verify the game again until no issues are found.

When this has been completed, try launching the game again.

If the issue persists, we would ask you to provide your full proof of purchase from Steam and a picture of your ownership folder, which you have previously backed up.

Once you have screenshot the "ownership" files, please reinstall Ubisoft Connect.

If the reinstallation of our software did not fix your issue, please provide the files mentioned above, along with your launcher logs found in the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\logs\.

Thank you very much. I've never seen about admin rights, that's what helped. THANKS AGAIN
No problem have fun!
