Prologue Question: Before leaving, when did Eivor kill those guards?
Was this offscreen or something?

When Eivor and Sigurd are leaving, Sigurd's father met with the two and then came Harald's guards "accusing" Eivor of killing guards. This confused me as I never picked a fight with any of them. Sigurd's father as a parting gift paid for the "tax" or something required from Eivor.

Was this just a plot device to show there was no bad blood or was I not paying attention?

If you said something that made King Harald say he does not understand you after he offers you a place and asks you what do you want during the feast at his hall this will occur Its a setup to try and sow discord among clan Raven. If you are open to Haralds rule this will not occur.

I have never had that line.
Maybe you killed the Guards in the beginning where you face Gorm and failed the stealth?

There's for sure one phases or two where guards will attack you, stealth but also flee if I remind well should allow avoid kill them.

Not sure what I did, but for me what explains OP was logical, I just don't remind why I found it logical.

Nope, guards have never attacked me. I sneaked past them to get Gorm.
I haven't killed a single guard until we left for England.

Yeah you have three choices when he tells you could be a boon to his clan. Bound to Sigurd, I seek Valhalla, and I dont know my fate the first two will lead to him say he does not understand you, this will cause the false accusation. The whole accusation scene still makes little sense as Eivor will say they offered insults even if you never killed any green clad men of Haralds.

Well on start no Viking wouldn't get his axe first, hence none would not have kill ton of green clad men because no viking hides as a coward.

And then for any true viking the insults would make sense, yeah whine and come in I kill more.

And when the player failed roleplay as a true viking he is punished by insults, fully logical.
