asking for activation code?
Hi all, just purchased the game and it asked for activation code when launched?

Can you please confirm if you tried restarting both Steam and Ubisoft Connect applications, by any chance?

I am having the same problem, ubisoft connect is asking for an activation code, but I can't find any anywhere. I have tried restarting both steam and ubisoft connect.

I also just tried reinstalling ubisoft connect, but this did not work. I can't play the game without the activation code.

Getting a "There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product."

Upon checking my Ubisoft Connect, Valhalla isn't bound there for some reason even though I got the prompt when I launched for the first time (which never went anywhere because of the error.

Thanks for the link Caduryn - please could anyone being asked for a key follow the steps linked above and let us know if they help?

In regards to the authentication error; When originally launching / activating a game, it will be bound to the Ubisoft account signed in at the time.

If you then later attempt to launch the game with a different Ubisoft account, this error will appear.

If you're aware of an alternative Ubisoft accounts you may have, please give these a try, as well as verifying the game's files[ubi.li].

If you still have issues, could you contact us directly via our Support Site[ubi.li] , Facebook[ubi.li] or Twitter[ubi.li] and include;
- Any alternative email addresses or usernames you may have used
- A screenshot of the following folder; Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership

We will be more than happy to take a closer look and help you recover access to your copy of the game.
