Only reason to buy this is if you really want hours counted on steam. Which is a waste of money.
so you think if you get your games at all the diffrents developers and publishers...you some how not have to use more than one launcher.... comon... you got to be kidding...
One less than the steam version anyway which acts more of a shortcut to ubiconnect
Then i must have the wildest and longest trip ever.... cuz im have been online on both steam and ubi connect for a good number of hours every day for the last 3 days... what a trip... and i havent been eating a shroom in well over 30 years...
Edit: and before someone gets a pain in his/hers or x backside... just so you know.. it was and to the best of my knowledge still is, fully legal to eat mushrooms growing naturaly in any public accessible part of the country i live...
but dont do so unless you really know what you are doing.... cuz some have a great taste and make good food... some have an effect not unlike lsd... and some will give you the runs... like bad.... and a few will kill you...
To add the Connect game to your Steam library, please see DuX1112 post which I marked as the topic answer.
Launching the game from Steam will still open the Connect launcher in the background, as that is what platform actually runs the game on your PC, as read in the games Steam Store listing,
-Ubisoft Support
Hello there. Can you also please clarify if launching any Ubisoft Connect game like this will also support Steam Controller or Steam Deck compatibility? Or does it only support Xbox Controllers?
Than you.
Don't listen to these morons saying you have to buy it on Steam.

Browse to your game.
Click the .exe file.
Confirm.
The game can be launched from Steam.
No, the controller is not supported (for me at least) launching from UbiSoft's sucky app. The ability to change the input method was disabled for me, so I added it to Steam as a non-Steam game. That let me change the input to the controller.
Please note that I got this game for free as GotY in Epic games way back when. I did not buy it from UbiSucks, because my store is forced on me in German. I have historically launched it from UbiSucks, because their app used to be choice. Now, I launch it from the desktop, but they stick their sucky app in-between in the background. I do not launch it from Epic games.
NOTE: Shooting with the bow, however, is touch-and-go with the controller. In Odyssey, it is completely broken. It stutters and you do not always get the cross-hairs. Here, it's just tedious, and doesn't always work for me.
