No you can't, once you talked to someone for a side quest there is no way to have info about it. You're just conpletely lost and it's almost impossible to complete them.
I'm a compleationist, I always finish Ac games at 100% (minus acheivement). This frustrate me so much, I can't even refund the game enymore.
Some woman just asked me to hunt for some deer or something, a sidequest, and I can't find anything about it or where she even lives should I get the stuff she needs.
I'm screwed because no way in hell will I remember a thing about the quest- and quest giver, nor do I want to ; that is what the log is for
That's for main quest... Side quest don't appear there, they appear nowhere.
I was trying to do that one and forgot what I needed to bring to her, who she was and where she supposed to be... Who seriously thought it was a good idea to make quest like that.
In my inventory > BAG i found a quest item (scroll down) with the sidequest about the deer on it. That's it.

I didn't find any reindeer in rygjafylke at all this youtube video says there is
I made a topic earlier on this week on were to find antlers
So basicaly side quest are in the inventory ? Saw a note in it talking about the quest... That's one weird way to place them but if they are all at least there it will make things feasible. Now I just need thing with rng loot...
I have two 100% play throughs I am not going to admit the amount of hours I have on it but I played it everyday since day one mostly doing dally quests I only stopped three months ago.
In the difficulty settings there is a "Explorer" setting, I play on "pathfinder" level so I get no markings, but I believe if you drop it down to the easiest level you might get a marker - though I could be wrong on that.
Listen to the quest chat. e.g. one guy was talking about going out to a fight, and you have to find some bears for him to fight - they are close by if you use the raven and look for them or look around you can see the. I've only just left the for england but all the blue marker quests so far I've found are this simple.
