alexios is a Odyssey Crossover mini free add-on called A Fated Encounter, with a new map and quests
To be able to play A Fated Encounter, you'll need to have built Valka's Hut and completed the quest In Dreams. Once Valka's Hut is established, and you've completed In Dreams, you'll unlock the introductory quest A Distorted Dream at https://www.ign.com/wikis/assassins-creed-valhalla/A_Fated_Encounter_DLC_Guide_-_Odyssey_Valhalla_Crossover how to start it
Meaning Two-Thirds of the player base? lol
More, actually.
When they actually put out the number I can't recall what it was exactly but it was slightly under 80%. Nowadays what few articles you can still find on the subject that haven't been inexplicably Epsteined off the internet just round it down to "two thirds".
It's not that people prefer a male protagonist. It's that people prefer an immersive, realistic, and believable protagonist. Or as close to that as possible. given the contextual material.
Kassandra may be the Ubisoft HR Department's choice.
Alexios will forever be the Gamer's choice.
That said the realism argument for Alexios is a blinded argument denying plenty mercenaries in game are women, hence if a player is blocked by that he won't be able play at all Odyssey, but realism is a poor man argument in video games, here it's more an excuse to justify sexism.
In Valhalla it won't be better, like ton of British warriors that are female.
but that'd be a templar action
And way better VA
