Ubisoft asks for CD key and i can't find one..

As the title says.. i'm at a loss here..

Asks for an activation code on Ubisoft whenever I hit play on steam.

When I tried to play initially I hit play and nothing happened. So I went to browse local files and ran the game as administrator. When I did that it moved to Ubisoft and then asked me for the activation code saying it would be linked to my email after I input the code. But I bought this game on steam and there is no code so I need help.

Usually this is a sign that your Ubisoft account is not linked with your Steam account. Link them and try again.

If it doesnt help you may need to contact support so they can activate it for you.

I couldn't find the account linking so I tried closing both and then opening ubisoft then steam with administrator. Then I clicked the game and it worked!

@brimstone, i did i searched all over the internet and tried everything, can't seem to find a CD key :/

Make sure you have linked your Steam account to your correct Ubisoft account, have the Ubisoft Connect client running in parallel with Steam and the process should be automatic.

My game wasn't even launching. Ubisoft never opened when i clicked play on steam. tried reinstalling and complained to Ubisoft support. I did your method and it finally works. thanks. <3

Got to close both and then run Ubisoft as administrator then open steam with administrator. Then just click the green play button. There is no game key if you bought the game from steam.

Apologies for the late reply.
Have you managed to launch the game?
If not, you need to start both apps (Steam and Ubisoft Connect) as administrators.

The game license will be then pushed to your Ubisoft account.
