Hey guys,

I can see multiple correct responses here already, but just to officially back these up and confirm; buying the game on Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store will not grant you with a Steam copy.

You can add it to your Steam library via the 'Add Non-Steam Game' function however.

If anyone has any other questions for us, please let us know!

Can you with any other Ubisoft connect game? No.

No, that's why you should never have supported Ubisoft's BS in the first place.

I'm wondering the same cuz I played Valhalla with the free ubi+ month not too long ago. But I assume you will be able to.

Unless something changes with Ubi's return.
You can play your Steam owned games on Uplay but not vice versa.

Yeah I thought so. That would mean, you have two copies of the same game in your ubisoft library right? In my case, one from the ubi+ sub and one from steam that would only be accessible via steam.

I think no. it's Ubi, lol
Star Taker Nov 21, 2022 @ 12:42pm
its ubisoft, why would they say no to more money
Orion1189 Nov 21, 2022 @ 2:55pm
Nope. Part of them crawling back to Steam is likely them banking on people double dipping after already purchasing games like this on Uplay. Unless it has Steam achievements, there really isn't any difference from just owning it on Uplay anyway. Best to just wait for a big sale if you really want to own it on Steam, regardless.

I'm considering buying it again on a sale, but only if it's at least possible to combine my accounts.

Some AC games got 2 copies in my uPlay Account. One which starts the game on uPlay, the other which starts Steam and then uPlay.

As with EA, let this be a lesson to you - buying on anything other than steam at any time will leave you with future regret.

If you rebuy on Steam, you can sign in with the same Ubi account, but the game will be duplicated and you'll have to start from scratch. It's the same with all their games that are also on steam.
