I just noticed - no Steam Cloud?
This will be my first AC game that I play on both my desktop and Steam Deck.

I see that it doesn't have Steam Cloud. Will the Ubisoft launcher sync my game across devices and if so do I need to set it up?

-----

BTW my downloads are taking forever. I notice that I appear to have a set total bandwidth from Steam - about 5.5 MB/s.

If I pause on my desktop then my Steam Deck gets it all and vice versa. If I let them both go max I get like 4.5 MB/s on my desktop and 1 MB/s on Steam Deck. I don't know why. If I limit one to 2 MB/s then I get 3.5 MB/s on the other.

In all cases I get about 5.5 MB/s total. Is there anything I can do to speed this up? As it stands it is going to take 12 around hours total.

I think Ubisoft should sync? I'm not sure though, I would try to set it up just in case

Clouds can artificially be made. So technically yes, you can own them. :steammocking:

clouds are made in the cloud factories on the other side of town. not sure why people want to shut them down.

If your UC account is linked to Steam and you had UC cloud saves enabled. It should automatically see those save games. If not. You may need to copy/paste the saves yourself.

When I played Valhalla on Ubisoft Connect I often used option to save on cloud. So I am guessing that game pulled those saves on this game since it did not transfered all of them. (I had good number of them) So my guess is that if you did not done this during playing game then you can not do it.
Though maybe looking in game directory for save files, but this is mine wild guess.

Hey Geeks On Hugs,

As Assassin's Creed: Valhalla supports cross-progression, which runs through Ubisoft Connect's Cloud Saving feature - Steam Cloud isn't supported for this title.

As long as you have Cloud Saves enabled and are using the same account though, there should be no issue in continuing the same save between PC and Steam Deck as both use Ubisoft Connect.

If anyone has any further questions, please let us know!

Hi TheBerry, thank you so much for the reply!🙂

Yes it's working great with the Ubisoft cloud saves. It's seamless and I didn't need to do anything to set it up. The only minor issue I have is that I want text, icons and subtitles to be set to large on the Steam Deck and set to small on my desktop and those settings get copied over as well as the control scheme setting (I like Hybrid on desktop and Controller on Deck). Not a big deal really, I just have to re-set them when I go back and forth between Deck and desktop. But as a suggestion for the future, perhaps those kinds of settings maybe shouldn't be copied over.

But, again, the built in cloud saving is otherwise working great. Thanks again!!!😊
