slow download

did any of you guys get slow download speed while downloading this game it slowed down to the point where it wasnt downloading at all for me

Try changing to a different Steam download server.

Downloads are fine at least on my end, toggle servers if you can't get any decent speed.

i think it was a virus messing with my pc cause even file explore crashed on me as well

I had a slow download too. 5.5 MB/s total from Steam which was split between my Steam Deck and desktop. It'll be great when Steam has it where you can install from one computer to another over your LAN which I think they're working on. That's gonna be great for Steam Deck.

Does Valve cap people's bandwidth? My internet is much faster than 5.5 mb/s but I consistently get that as my Steam download speed.

BTW I'd love to go back and tell myself in the late 1990s (or earlier) how someday I will complain about 5.5 mb/s being too slow.☺️
