My only cons about Valhalla is that I wish the scandinavic area was bigger or longer, but its only like the introduction area and then yo move to England.
And the order hunt was boring and NPCs were kinda OP back when the game was launched, idk if they nerfed them but overall the game was good.
That sounds great. Spending 10 minutes to kill 5 enemies in Odyssey ruined that game for me.
In valhalla we have main hand and off hand system. Each weapons combination have different effects and animations. You can pair axe with shield, axe + axe, hammer + dagger, shield + shield, dagger + empty offhand, etc. You can even wield two two-handed weapons (greatsword, Dane axe, spear, and schyte) at higher level.
In odyssey and origin, you can only wield one weapon at a time, even for one handed weapons like sword and daggers. This alone makes combat variety and animations more limited.
There are also more finishing moves in valhalla compared to previous ac games. Your finishing move will be depend on what weapon the enemy use, what weapon your character use, and your position during execution.
If you think the combat is too easy because of parry, in you can reduce the parry window (default is 450ms) in game play settings. Tbh I don't even remember when I need to parry in odyssey. In valhalla parry is useful since you won't get far just from dodging due to limited stamina.
Now you can use same armor set / weapon set / combat style throughout the game if you want to.
