As there has been a lot of speculation - just to officially confirm.

As it stands, Steam achievements will not be available in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

Any achievements earned in-game will run through Ubisoft Connect.

There are no current plans to implement this in future.

Apologies for any disappointment caused by this and we hoe you can still enjoy the game.

As it stands, my money will not be available for Ubisoft.

Any money i spend will go to other developers.

There are no current plans to pay for that game or any game from UBI on Steam without achievements or any base Steam functionality.

Also there are no plans to buy any game from Ubi store.

No apologies, as you are made us wait 2 years and get cut-off version of what is on Ubistore/consoles.

For me its simple i love to go for archievments and if i cant do that in valhalla (I waitet to the steamrelease for that) i wont buy it.

This is not new behavior from Ubisoft. They don't care about the Steam user experience. They just want that Steam user money. Do not reward that behavior.

Please add Steam achievements if you plan to release your recent games on Steam, as there is currently no way of earning achievements on modern Ubi games on PC.

Yeah, I'm aware of the Ubisoft Connect challenges, but it's not quite the same.

1. You don't get "points" from achievements.
2. There is nothing to lose from adding achievements. They would just be greatly increasing the amount of copies sold for an insignificant amount of work.

Both EA and Sony have added Steam achievements, which are 2 companies most people were not expecting to be coming to Steam.

LOL I am on steam more then a decade.... I always thought you do get points from achivments too, but never payed attention on it......
but yea fully agree they have nothing to lose from adding achivments to it.....
