- I dislike games where I have to locate switches like in Slenderman.
- The mechanics, such as [insert mechanic] could be improved by [suggest something better].
- I dislike the art style and preferred how the graphics looked in Turbo Overkill because [explain what you liked about the graphics in Turbo Overkill].
and exactly that, a demo....meaning it's not a final version..dur
There is a reason why Total Chaos is often considered one of the best if not the best DooM 2 mod ever. This is far from being you average indie horror game.
Also, this is not a action horror like Resident Evil, which is what a lot of people expect. This is a horror game with a strong emphasis on survival mechanics.
Comparing with Turbo Overkill, saying everything was "better" in it, doesn't make any sense. Both games are from very different genres, with very different game designs. The only things those two titles share in common are the dev team and the fact they both use a first person camera perspective. It would be like comparing Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell to say that AC has better climbing mechanics, or like comparing Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry to say MH has better hunting mechanics.
Doesn't make sense. Completely different game designs.
Yes it DOES xD
A bit janky but I can see what's being attempted here.
This is honestly the least 'janky' game I've played in a while, and especially for a demo. I can't tell you how many AAA title games I've played lately where it's been an utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This was a breath of fresh air.
Right off the bat? Cry of Fear, one of the best mods to happen in the Half-Life community.
