What to do if the game crashes at start? Possible solutions.

One of these steps usually help:

1. You can run the configuration window, before you start the game.
You should have an option to "Configure Zombie Driver HD" after you press the "play" button on steam.

2. Also you can try to delete config file if you have it.
It is located here:
C:\Users\your_username\Documents\ZombieDriverHD\Config\config.cfg

3. Install a new version of Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft

4. Restarting Steam or veryfing game cache files also can help. This is described here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

5. Try to download new drivers for your graphic card

6. If nothing helps than send us([e-mail]) memory dump file and exor_logs.txt file to our support with a short description of the problem and your hardware configuration.

it work...before crash in mission 07 for now i just install visual basic 2012 and update beta...now can continue play this fantastic game xD

I have another possible solution for ppl playing on a Laptop with 2 GPUs (e.g. Intel & Nvidia)

If the Games-config launcher only shows one GPU then make sure that your system also allows the use of that GPU.

In case of a Nvidia card:
Go to the Nvidia control panel - 3D settings - and check if the "Preferred Graphics Processor" is set correctly.

+1, performed all steps multiple times. Still no luck.
Win 8.1, 64bit, Intel HD 4600 Integrated (displayed for both monitors connected in configuration settings,) and Nvidia GT755M (not displayed in configuration, no matter what settings I set on Nvidia Control Panel, or Nvidia Inspector)

Runtime error zombiedriverhd.exe every time i open game. Managed one single time to open game in 800x600 windowed, closed to restart and change resolution, and wouldnt you know it, runtime error, no matter what resolution i now set.

Very frustrating.

Worth noting, i did also get the DLC bundle with the game, could this be causing issues?
Getting together dumpfiles for devs now. Why is this happening -.-

I'm quite certain it has to do with Nvidia cards not being supported. No matter the settings, the game configuration refuses to recognize that i have a GPU, even with integrated graphics COMPLETELY DISABLED.

i have old nvidea geforce 103m and work...try turn off antivcrus, disable firewall that game use ccleanr or tuneup to fix registy!

Thanks, but my antivirus does not interfere, my firewall is already setup and maintained, and my registry is clean.

The startup crash started happening to me when I purchased the car skin DLC. Finally got it to work again by following #4 above step by step. Before the DLC I was able to run the game with no problems.

Tried everything listed in all of these crash threads at least 5x each, and then a bunch of stuff that wasnt listed anywhere. A patch would be nice DEVS. Of the 40 mins steam shows me playing this game, thats 40 mins total of opening the game, crashing, changing a setting, opening the game, crashing, repeat.

^ Yes. All options in configuration have been toggled on and off many times, all combos tried. Also, learn to spell-check, its not hard. Wth?

Resorted to idling the config menu to get drops and sell them to make back some of the money on this useless garbage. At least the cards are worth 20c each.

What is needed is a PATCHED UPDATE involving nvidia GPUs, and compatibility regarding DLC pack.

PAID CUSTOMERS CANT OPEN YOUR GAME. PLZ FIX
