DualShock 4 support under OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
Hi, I'd really like to play this on my Mac with my PlayStation 4 controller, but that currently doesn't seem to work. The game recognizes my controller input because moving the left thumbstick up and down changes the menu hilight. But none of the buttons does anything beyond that. The store page for this title bears the Full Controller Support banner, or else I would not have purchased it. Is there any chance you could add support for DS4 on Mac?

I guess full controller support means full XInput Controller support :/
For windows there is DS4Windows[dsdcs.com] that can emulate an XInput virtual pad from the DS4, making the DS4 compatible with *everything* that support XIpunt.
However for Macs... I don't know.

Are the developers going to get this working? The DualShock controller works fine in Mac OS Yosimite for various other platformers.

Doubtful. On the GiantBomb E3 night shows dude made it sound like they are full steam ahead on Volume, which is due out in a few months. This is a bummer. I've been tricked into purchasing about half a dozen Steam games with the "Full Controller Support" sticker on their store page that don't support any controllers on Mac. I wish the new refunds program were retroactive. At least I have some recourse going forward, I guess.

It is because Mac doesn't support XInput controller which are the norm since a few years now. The DS4 supports the old DInput scheme which is why it works with most old games. Just plug and play and you are good to go.

But now DInput has been pretty much discontinuted and most games now only support XInput.

For Win PC there are XInput emulator that will make a DInput pad be seen as a XInput one. I mentionned DS4Windows above, and it has changed name: InputMapper[inputmapper.com]

For Mac computers, give this a shot: Xbox HID Driver for Mac OS X[xhd.sourceforge.net]. However I don't own a Mac so it might be crap. Best bet is to ask for help on specific MacOS forums. Search for "XInput emulation"

Good luck
