For windows there is DS4Windows[dsdcs.com] that can emulate an XInput virtual pad from the DS4, making the DS4 compatible with *everything* that support XIpunt.
However for Macs... I don't know.
But now DInput has been pretty much discontinuted and most games now only support XInput.
For Win PC there are XInput emulator that will make a DInput pad be seen as a XInput one. I mentionned DS4Windows above, and it has changed name: InputMapper[inputmapper.com]
For Mac computers, give this a shot: Xbox HID Driver for Mac OS X[xhd.sourceforge.net]. However I don't own a Mac so it might be crap. Best bet is to ask for help on specific MacOS forums. Search for "XInput emulation"
