Bathroom Key Glitch

So I've completed everything up to the point where I need to get the bathroom key, after scouring every area I decided to just check the walkthrough, and from the looks of things the game has bugged out. Is there any known way of fixing this, or am I going to have to restart the game? I really don't want to have to do that though.

I talked to the movement guy early on, and I asked him about the toilet key. That's the point where you're meant to be given the key, but it was never deposited in my inventory. So now I'm left with no way of continuing.

I received my key from the guy who play's rock paper scissor in the bar

Yeah, I'd talked to everyone. I just started again and I'm going through the game pretty quickly now.

It's not a glitch. You've got to switch on Baby Goal, and ask the barman about the resistance movement in front of her, then talk to her and promise you'll join the resistance, then ask Garlef about it, and he'll give you the key.

Yes I know how to get the key, but it didn't work. I never got the key deposited in my inventory.

Oh, but did Garlef tell you that he didn't need the key anymore and you could have it? It's when you tell him you want to join the resistance to impress a girl or whatever. I guess if he did say that then it is a glitch :(

Yep, I went through every one of his lines of dialog

Hmm, but in the couple of times I played the game the line of dialogue that triggers Garlef giving you the key wouldn't always appear in the dialogue options. When that happened, I would go back to talk to Baby Goal or the Barman about the resistance movement and then try again. But if Garlef said that you could have the key and yet it didn't appear in your inventory then that's a glitch and I dunno how to help.

I've got the same glitch. He gave me the key but its not in the inventory...

Got the key after I cleared the Spunky Goal route. Had troubles too first with getting the key, since I already talked to the guy beforehand. Though the only options to talk with him were playing hands or goodbye :/
Anyway, first clear the Spunky Goal route, then talk with Baby Goal and the Bartender, then again with the Movement Guy.

I think it works as long as Baby Goal is active? I did it last and the option was there (but not when I checked earlier)

Originally there is a dialogue option that mentions the bathroom key which you can choose however I did not aqquire the bathroom key here. Instead in agreeance with iQuit you have to choose every single dialogue option with baby goal first and then the barkeeper until the resitance is mentioned and baby goal gets all excited about wanting to join. Then once all dialogue options have been chosen you may go to the guy upstairs and talk to him about the resistance. Halfway through your little chat he will give you a bathroom key. Originally I was stuck thinking Id struck a bug however It was not. BVZZ.TV might have struck a bug however I hope my method helps all those who are puzzled.

I still can't get the key. He says he needs it for a bet
