I know I looked EVERYWHERE for a way to get rid of the music but there was just nothing I could do. Good thing I looked it up on the internet, I'd be stuck for hours.
The problem was not the hints. But where to look for it. I knew that I had to turn the music off somehow, but I thought it had something to do IN the game story. Like for example, unplug the speakers, cut a cable, break someone's music instrument or steal it, etc., etc. I did not think that playing with the settings music would have an impact on the story itself and thus Rufus. For me, menu settings are only for player's gaming preferences and has nothing to do with the actual story/puzzles.
It's the only puzzle I absolutely hated in both this and the first game. I wouldn't call it a showstopper, but it had me pretty annoyed.
I wish they'll add some more like this one in the last game ^^
