[HELP]I am stuck at the Weapons Shop part of the game

I looked at a walkthrough, and this is the part:

Weapons shop part 2 - junk crabs: Go to the weapons shop via Little Venice at left or by Doc's workshop. Convince Bozo to go in the shop again.

The gondolier arrives again singing the new music. It is not appreciated by the couple but the junk crabs from the dark alley love it.

The crabs aggregate at the red pipe left of the weapon shop. Use the pipe valve to trap the crabs.

OK, instead of giving the music sheet to the gondolier, I have activated his airbag, and swaped the sheet, but it should be the same.

So, I do what walkthrough says, and everything happens as it should except that there are no crabs.

What did I miss?

Oh, and it is a Linux version of the game.

To lure the crabs you have to switch the tube next to the pharmacy so it connects the red and yellow pipe. Once you have the crabs trapped you need to go back to the city centre and switch the tube so it connects the red and green pipe. Then release the crabs and make the gondolier switch the airbag once again. If you did everything right then the next time the gondolier arrives at the Weapon Shop his crate will be full of crabs. You need to use the SAME music sheet that you used to lure the crabs. The other ones exist to complete an achievement.
