In the script editor, can you select multiple scripts at one time? If so, how?
Title says it all, sorry, I don't use the script editor much.

If you wanted to copy all the scripts from one project into another project, you could copy the Data\Scripts.rvdata2 file over. This might be a quick method for copying a bunch of scripts over into a new project perhaps. But be warned, doing this will overwrite / replace any scripts currently in the target project (have backups of your project too before attempting such).

Other than that, you can copy and paste one script at a time as need be.

Ok, thank you. I knew you could do the Data/Scripts thing, but I can't overwrite my other scripts.

Is there any way I can have mutliple instances of the Steam version of RPG Maker VX Ace running? Having to exit my project every time for each script is challenging and stressfull.

You should be able to open a game without having to go through steam by double clicking Game.rvproj2 in the project folder. This is how I have multiple games open. But I use the desktop version, so I'm not sure how Steam would handle this (if at all).

EDIT: Also, this goes in "How To", not general, so I moved it for you. :)

Another way I sometimes do it is use a notepad utility (I prefer Editpad, which is a nice free Notepad-like utility, can have multiple tabs, more features than Windows basic notepad http://editpadlite.com/ ), copy each script that I want there into it's own tab/page, then when I'm ready I can paste each script into my project (give it a name as you like for each script in the script pane).

First off, it doesn't work. Second off, the new "organized discussion" feature really confuses me, sorry. I thought How-To was for tutorials.

That's a great idea! Thanks!

Like I said, wasn't sure how Steam would handle that. It works for me, but I use the desktop version. I also know some programs from can be opened from their folders without activating Steam, but it seems Ace is not one of those programs.

Additionally, I agree that "How to" is confusing. If nothing else I'll try to get it changed to "Support".

With or without steam I can activate RPG Maker. and I can have multiple instances up because I made my own shortcut to RM. For some reason (probably a default anti-cheat gaurd) if you use the shortcut that has the steam ID****** as it destination path it will only allow for one to be opened. Also before I made my shortcut I used the method CP stated so it does actually work. However If I had one project open and I tried to open another project it would open a second copy of the first project and then I would have to manually open it. still have to do that with my shortcut as well.
