In legend of dragon there is two parts to the battle system
Part one - human form (normal)
- Can only Attack / guard / Items / run in this form
- when you attack depending on what Attack skill you set depends how many chains there are
- when you confirm to attack a target boxes appear over the target that when hit at the right time continue the combo the more sucesses the more dmg + SP you gain, if you miss the combo ends and does the dmg gained to that point, if you get a perfect you get bonus sp / dmg
- when you have a full bar of SP (can gain up to 5 bars) you can turn into Dragoon form
- If all your party members have at least 1 bar of SP you can activate "special" which turns all your characters into dragoon form at once
Part two - Dragoon form
- Can attack / Magic
- Magic cost MP
- Attacking is similar to normal mode but instead of boxes appearing over target there is a guage at the side that spins and if you hit at the right time it does more dmg, how ever if you fail to get it it stops and does the dmg collected to that point (can only get 5 in a row max)
- IIRC you can stay in dragoon form for a number of turns = to how many sp bars you have left
- after dragoon form is over you go back to normal form

The dragoon transformation part can be done easily for me, the timing button presses though i have no idea how id do that
1: it only succeeds the hit if you hit it just in time, if you miss it then the attack 100% misses (i'm looking for something that if you miss the button time it still does damage but reduced, and more dmg if you hit it just right)
2: it only allows for one button press per attack, looking for something that may allow for multiple button presses to amplify dmg.
1 is more important to me than 2, I'm mainly looking for a way to allow it to still hit even if i miss the button timing but reduces the dmg.
