The file only looked like a virus because it was referencing a file that didn't exist yet

Sad to say my German is too rusty to read that, but yeah, that's just Norton doing what it does best and throwing a false positive. Security Essentials and Malware Bytes both come back clean.

What's your point? It poped for the virus check on 8 out of 54 scanners because it is a portable .exe and it writes the file rgss301.dll to the disk. Claiming that as a virus is the same thing as claming Steam or WoW (ect) as a virus.

It's called a false-positive when some overly fussy anti-virus software assumes that something it doesn't recognize might be a virus, thus throws a virus warning fit even though there is in fact no virus. "Enough said!". :p
