Cant play my games at all.

Hello, so the RPGMaker runs correctly but I can't play my games either from the playtest button or from the exe. I created a new project (didn't have any older ones to try) and every time I try to play my game the player shows the default title screen and it plays the music, but nothing happens until it goes into "not responding" mode. It does not crash or anything, it just stays there.
I've disabled the Steam overlay, tried various compatibility modes for the software itself and for the game exe, tried starting as administrator... nothing works. I'm on windows 10 by the way.

From your Steam Library, right click on RPG Maker VxAce, and select Properties. From the Updates tab disable the Steam Cloud. Then from the Betas tab choose to use the "original - non-workshop version", and OK it all. Then after it updates try it again and see if it works.

Or, it could be that somehow the project you created got corrupted. As VxAce will try to automatically re-load in the last project you were working on each time you open it, maybe try moving the whole project folder to a different location then try running VxAce again.

If it's still not working, then maybe try downloading the VxAce RTP (run tme package) and install it:

Hi, thanks for trying to help. I did everything you said and, sadly, nothing worked.

I disabled the Steam Cloud and updated to the non workshop version, didn't work. Then I moved my project folder, deleted it, created some new ones (It didn't had a lot of work put in it, because I tend to test every few steps and it wasn't an issue deleting and starting again). Tried relocating the project to my other hard drive in case the one I was using was the issue, didn't work. Downloaded and installed the VxAce RTP, didn't work.

Not sure what else to suggest other than to have your Windows and drivers up-to-date.

One other thing that came to mind is perhaps something else is conflicting (such as maybe an overly-aggresive anti-virus). You can try temporarily closing all other background running programs (even your anti-virus. you can disconnect from the internet first as an extra precaution) and see if it works.

Thanks for your help, but i couldn't make it work. I have Windows 10 so it auto-updates all the time, but to be sure I forced the update check and none were available. My drivers were also updated. I also closed everything, including the antivirus.

I'll contact RPG Maker Support, if they can help me i'll post here in hopes it helps someone else.
