RPG Maker Game not working because it says RGSS202J.dll is missing

I don't know if RGSS202J.dll is in the game folder, but here are the Specs

-I have RPG Maker VX Ace installed on my computer (not on steam)
-I have downloaded RGSS202J.dll and placed it in two different locations

System32 -Did nothing still says RGSS202J.dll is missing

Game Folder -Says its corrupted, run viruscheck and reinstall the game

I Would like to know if there is a website that has 1,2,3 instructions from installing RPG Maker VX Ace to downloading RGSS202J.dll but what i really need to know is

>WHERE< Do I put the files, System32 and Game Folder didn't work for me, I assume something else is missing or the files i downloaded are not LEGIT or Authenticated

I don't have to get the RGSS202J.dll from the game developer do I? I assume all RGSS202J.dll are the same.

This feels like way to many steps when the developers of RPGMAKER could of fixed that with a Permanent fix.

Do you own a legal copy of the program? If you do, this really should not be an issue.

I do and it works but it doesn't work when i have it stored on an external hard drive, as long as the computer can read the drive it shouldn't be any problems, ive got copies of the RPGmakers on the external harddrive too.

RTP also doesn't work on external hard drives

RPG maker games takes alot of space so i wanted to move them to an external hard drive where

-They would not get deleted
-I would also be able to play any game from there on a list of +255 RPG Maker Games

It sounds like the game developer opted not to include this file in their distribution of the game. The J in the filename I would expect to relate to the Japanese language, so you may need to find another game made in the Japanese version of RPG Maker, I guess.

it could be that the developers need to make sure every file is in the right folder for the game to work and that also means testing it to work on any platform and any hard drive. Some files might be missing that could be the reason its not working. it doesn't tell you which files its missing sometimes.

Steam would actually replace any missing files before launching the application if you could play them on steam.
