Report a translation problem
If it's your own sound-effects, have them converted over into OGG format (other media formats may not always work so well with VxAce).
If even a media-player won't play the sound-files, then there's probably some other issue on your computer.
It could also be possible it's a conflict with a certain hardware on your system.
Have your sound-drivers up to date.
