"failed to create process"
every time i try to test my game, it says "Failed to create process." Does anyone know what this means?
Is there something wrong with the scripting?

there may be something wrong with install and you may need to check it. Have you been using any mods? That could be a clear cause of the issue.

By mods, do you mean custom scripting? If so, yes.
So what youre saying is i need to do the Verify Integrity thing?

Yes. Or you eed to find out what was wrong with your scripting. I suggest the Ladder.

That's the thing, if it were something wrong with the scripting, I would never know. It's not one of my strengths to know what's wrong with scripts, which sucks.

I also noticed that my project is now "Untitled" whereas it used to be "Tales of Time."

I found a notepad titled "Game" in my project folder and it showed this:


[Game]
RTP=
Library=System\RGSS301.dll
Scripts=Data\Scripts.rvdata2
Title=Untitled


Is there anything that needs to go in the RTP area? I have a feeling that's my problem.

I believe so. I'm not sure what exactly goes there but I think a quick google search can help you out.

RTP links to all your resources. its located in the rpg folder in your steam directoy.

Oh, and if your exporting. be sure to have (include rtp) checked or your game wont run.

Yeah, I looked in my other project folders and it showed:

RTP=RPGVXAce

So I typed that into the notepad here but it still didn't fix anything.

Oh wait!
The Game.exe is missing.
Any way to get that back, or is it all just screwed up now?

Did you by chance have any other installs of Ace before installing the Steam version? If so, uninstall Ace on Steam, and the RTP/Ace of other versions and then reinstall on Steam. I ran into that issue before.

I fixed it, but I hope my solution doesn't screw anything up.
I copied the Game.exe from another project folder and pasted it into the folder that was missing it.
My game is testable now. Phew.
