And Steam doesn't really have sales "very, very often". The big sitewide sales only happen three times a year (Summer, Thanksgiving/Autumn and Christmas/Holiday), a bunch of horror-themed games will typically go on sale during Halloween (but that's a small sale that lasts about half a week and has a very limited range of games on offer), and that's basically it. There's never been an official 'easter sale' as such, so there's a huge gap between the Christmas sale (ends in very early January) until the Summer sale (in July). The closest thing to an easter sale was the Potato Sack thing a few years back, and even that was just 13 games at 75% off (so not a 'big' sale at all)
It's impossible to say with any certainty - we never know what'll come up in daily deals, weeklong deals, weekend deals or midweek madness. But counting on a single product out of the couple thousand in the store to appear in one of those sales...well, it's possible but the odds aren't really in your favour.
