:o This is amazing news, I must tell people!
Well I have to be honest, I did not expect this kind of response, lol. Thank you very much for your reply/info Mitchell. I'm going to say it first - the first RPG maker port to go on Play store for number 1 spot on the top downloaded list :D
Question though, on Windows we have WinAPI to add extra functionality to scripts. How would we extend it on Android? I mean, can we actually extend our scripts to use Android Java libraries? I mean, you can create extensions for jRuby, but I don't know, it might open the program up for exploitabilities and stuff.
Depends, actually. You can export with the RTP included in the game's archives (although the game's file size would be a bit larger). As for size being a deal-breaker... Android devices have removable storage that can be swapped out, so that shouldn't be much of a problem.
Make sure to include the option to support Ouya-specific features. I'm pretty sure it has some features not availble on other Android devices.
That's true, they do have removable storage. The biggest issue though is that you can't download to storage, you have to download to the phone itself and move it onto an SD card through the app's settings. Most phones I've seen don't have more then 150 megs internal memory, and most cheap phones hardly have 50
You could still use the removable storage once the initial game application has been installed.
