I don't mess with the workshop much at all so if you wouldn't mind linking me to a few of these progjects that use the dll I would apreciate it. Like I said, I don't think you really knew what it does so I am skeptical and under the impression that you are reffering to projects using high-res graphics and not the .dll file.
No-No. I'm just new to this thread since I never seen it. (so, I'm not new in RPG Maker VX Ace itself).
Yeah. I know that it just extend the size of the game window, but with some improvements that scripts CAN'T DO themselves.
You said (I quote you):
I know that too. But I missed the opportunity to get the DLL. And I know there is just a test-drive but.. That's my dissapointment.. As I can't deal with the announcements everydays dues to my own life management...
I want really wait for the "Official release" but something tell me that it will be in a paid release AND (moreover) perhaps a next future version of RPG Maker, like a RPG Maker VX Ace +..
Well, there is not many announcements giving any reliable informations about this .. DLL..
But.. Well; you know where I want bring my vista point.
And, by,
"Projects using High Res DLL", I don't speak about graphics but really by using the DLL (experimental one).
Also, No I will not cite any projects that use the DLL by respect of privacy for their authors.
PS: I'm also very excited each times since the DLL was taken down, when I look over Steam Announcements, but since there is not any refering to this "new possible features", this sounds like the project will be .. reported for a while XD..
Cheers, Thanks for reading Kurashi.
the high res dll allows more customers since people also want to use there vector grafics
and therefor need more resolution. And it allows more freedom for devs.
But meanwhile you can change your ace 544x416 reolution to 640x480 (Big enough in my opinion for pixel games)
Insert this Line as new Script in Sripteditor under Materials:
Graphics.resize_screen(640, 480)
That's always my whole problem.. THE TIME...
surprise yea buy the new rpg maker lol
That's a pitiful move.
Any direct source URL ?
I'm curious.
I'm affraid about retro-compatibility ....
I'm even wondering if I must continue to use VX Ace or just wait to the next version..
I'm disappointed from this Degica move.
In the meanwhile other developpers
(out of officials developpers) have released an unofficial version of their own High Res DLL,
I Never used it (since the EULA not permit this.. tss..),
- but many said (Youtube Video per example) that it is fully working
- with some adjustments, it's true...
- also some forums talk about it.
I don't give any names, so don't ask.
It's possible to allow RPG Maker VX Ace to having HD resolution at least...
I don't understand any excuses of official developpers of RPG Maker VX Ace then.
They just want make more money..
I'm so disappointed from that move. As said.
EDIT:
I want add: that if you want really let us test this High Res DLL that you can trough Steam without break the release branch of the software: Use a BETA branch locked under a code (Steam permit that!)
