Commercial Tilesets and Resources for FREE.

Resources for Non Comercial Use are very Common.
Thanks to Steam the Commercial DLC are getting Common.

Now what we Need is Commercial Resources for FREE, from Hobbyist for Hobbyist.

A Friend of mine Planed to Create a Webside Forum where he wants to Create a Workshop
for RTP Edits own Grafiks in RTP Style and other Styles, different Resource Projects,
like Modern Theme, Western or Hospital...

The Artists and Participants would Agree that there Work stays there own, but that they give
people the right to use that resources commercialy, only Name Credits.
And Users get the right to Edit and reupload those Grafics on the Forum and if the Artist allows
somewhere else too.

Bennefits:
1.
Growing Resource Collection where every Hobby Maker User benefits.
2.
No Contacting someone , because u need some License.
3.
Growing RPG Maker Universe, Commercial and Nearly Open Source
(CC Licens + Standard Enterbrain License) in Harmony XD.
4. Easyness and Fun Helping each other.

The more selection of resources Developers have to choose from the better. So sure, go for it. In time I might be able to contribute something myself (possibly some graphics and music).

RPG Maker Universe made by RTP edits can not be compatible with CC-BY or any open source license.

RTP derivatives are always under RTP EULA, that is not compatible with either license models.

About the Extra products ( here on Steam these products come in a form of DLCS ) sharing edits is STRICTLY prohibited. You have the right to edit them for yourself. Not share edits.

And this is RTP Edits and own Art only, so it is Usable in Enterbrain RPG Makers.
But with a CC Licens for Commercial use and Credits Only. And maybe another Option to Choose.
So the Projject got the spirit of Open Source, but you are correct its no real Open Source.
But kind of XD. Correct Dread?

What Dread said is basically correct. You could share them for free and for use with both free and commercial products, but they would need to follow the Ace RTP EULA. This requires users to own Ace to use the resources. Other than that is not a horrible idea, but some websites already do this.

DLC edits are a complete no-no.

That DLC stuff i know and is not intended. And most sides just making/ providing resources for non comercial use. So this is kind of healthy Competitioneer. And i also know that some Artist would not Participate. But there are more Reasons for doing it in this Case.

Don't need am okay as long as you keep it legal. Just remember Steam's advertising rules.

You know, it would be sweet if someone at Degica or whatever could just write up an RTP License on the fly, something we could copy-paste in a readme file or something, so that it would be easier to explain where the resources could be used (only in RPG Maker VX Ace for example). Heck, just give it the generic RTP License name, and make subsets called RTP VX(A) License, or RTP IG License. Does IG Maker even have resources?

EDIT: It could even have an RTP RM License subset to encompass all RPG Makers. Heck, the text only needs to be written once, with the name of the maker inserted at certain points.

... the licenses are availablr at the rpg maker site? For all 4 makers and all 3 rtps if I recall. A link is in the faq on here.

Wait waitwait what's this about liscencing? I seem to loose a wee bit!

And... I am all right to occasionally enrich sprite sets and face sets... even some backgrounds/parallax.

Just right now with all the house on hold, all I do is really fight bed bugs IRL... You might get some in games if it continues. (Anyone think of a special condition Event at a inn?)

If you want to know my queue in the batchfile of what I am doing first, it is somewhere along the posts on Custom housing! project. (My sprites too)

But now all Questions about that should be clearified.
The specific License (Name etc...) is created/written by a Competent Co Worker and Scripter.
I just explained Details to you in the first Post he writes it down like a Lawyer.
So no need to worry about that.

it is free for all! As usual... Still a nice mention to my mapping/spriting/gabarit/face/background skill as you use it might be nice.

Also, I wish not staying hobyist for long. But usually my work is my hobby!

I hate to be that guy but OP really needs to learn when a capital letter is called for and a knowledge of homonyms wouldn't hurt either. It's so distracting that it's impossible to take anything written by him seriously.
