The free assets you HAVE to get!

If chibi-sprites are not your style, you can get these free sets for characters and fitting tilesets from the creator's Japanese blog (I am posting this because I somehow doubt the creator will upload them to the steam workshop very soon).

It's the so called "Mack-style" which has led other artists to create similar styled assets and many people have also made great edits based on these tile and charater sets.

The assets created by Celianna and Lunarea which you can find in the workshop are perfectly compatible with the "Mack-style"

Personally I don't think anyone else but the creator himself should upload anything to the workshop.

Yes, the creators domain has been taken down quite a while ago.

But check out this post at rpgmakerweb.com, you should be able to get most of the orginal sprites as well as popular edits and matching additions from the provided links there;
