I have this and MV, MV seems to have a lot more active user base, plus so many of the scripts for VXA seem to be long-dead links, is it even worth working with today in 2023/24?

Ace has so many resources, it's crazy. Finding them nowadays might be the issue. Yanfly is number one place to look for scripts.
