Platforming scripts?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to be asking about this but I was wondering if there were any scripts and/or combination of scripts available used to make true platforming possible in maps. What do I mean by this? I'm referring specifically to pseudo 3D platforming akin to Super Mario RPG or the Mario & Luigi series. I thought about this after seeing the healthy amount of scripts making 2D sidescrolling platformers possible.
