Not enough space in warehouse

I have a field of organic cabbage waiting to be harvested, but it says there is not enough space in warehouse, 21,000kg. I have 2 empty warehouses right next door, so I allocated 25,000kg of organic cabbage to each so it can be stored there. but it still wont harvest saying no room. Can't figure this one out.

Yea, this has really thrown me off from the game. It's either too tedious to micro manage or doesn't work at all. I'm not sure which.

Figured it out. I had 29,000kg of melons on the way to the warehouse so it was allocated. i built another warehouse in range and it harvested. Looks like stuff will go to warehouse temporarily until its transported to farmhouse, unless you pick resource and keep it there. It is confusing but I am learning it slowly. Its starting to make a little more sense once you learn the storage mechanics. Fun game.
