[The Streaming Preacher]

One of the requirements for unlocking the fourth (I think) character is to successfully resurrect after death and then beat the map (again, I think). How does a person get the ability to resurrect from death? Thanks

Berserker has a Skill Tree skill called "Greater Than Death," which grants one revive. There is also a constellation, Andromeda, which grants another. There is a relic, Bloody Tear, which grants a revive, as well. You can also get revives from the Phoenix familiar. You have to play a mission mode, survive 30 minutes, and complete the objective. I suggest doing this on Village Yard as the final objective is very easy: get in the balloon.
