is this before or _after_ you maxed out your 'upgrades' ???
(I certainly hope you remember this type of game is _Supposed_ to be hard because the whole point is to replay it over and over upgrading until you're near maxed out _then_ you might actually have a solid chance of 'winning'.. )
Again, I certain hope (even though it doens't look like it.. ) you are a maxed out character because the LAST thing I want to play is another dumbed down piece of garbage game that's too easy specially designed to make it 'just right' so you beat it on the 2nd or 3rd try.
Games like this should be _impossible_ to beat until you got at least 20+ upgrades or else the game is _way too easy_.
Dev, please ignore anyone acting like the game is 'too hard' unless they have _fully_ maxed out characters and played it at least 20 times after,
the last thing the world needs is another too easy game.
I'm about to buy the game right now and I'll vomit if I find out it was dumbed down because of posts like this
I'll see, I rarely use discort... if at all, but I might come back to it.
If I need to max out my char in order to beat the very first map, then there is something fundamentally wrong with the game, cause no other game in this genre makes me do this.
Other games might kill me 1-5 times till I have a decent amount of meta progression, but this game here makes me feel like I'm the worst player ever.
Also, great way of being selfish.
"Don't listen to this feedback! My feedback counts more!"
Just screw off with this nonsense...
Don't expect another reply and be glad you got one.
EDIT: And yes, I've got a decent amount of upgrades already.
Here is an easy guide to get 3.5 million points and unlock engineer. You can use this as the basis for a lot of playable builds that don't require maxed characters, and it's done on the first map.

Here's the description from Discord:
Character: Scout
Constellations: Taurus, Cetus, Eridanus, Gemini, Perseus, and if you feel like you can stick and move, also take Pegasus.
Weapon: Shotguns
Strategy: Focus on getting one shotgun to level 6. Then get the other to level 5. Your most important upgrades will be (in this order) Soul Chance, Crit Chance, Weapons, Shields, Magical Bouncing Ammo. Once you have a level 6 and a level 5, focus on leveling the level 6 weapon only to make sure each crit chance is for the most damage. Your other shotgun is for the push effect only as each pellet applies push, so at level 5, that's 32 pellets pushing people even if they ricochet.
Stage: Brotherhood Chateau (stage 1)
You're going to get +290% score with this setup, so you shouldn't even need the full 30 minute run to get 3.5 million. Make sure you have your damage and crit damage permanent upgrades as high as you can get them. Also make sure to have the scouts ultimate, Blood Rush, and his double jump.
There are a couple places you can hang out that are very easy to escape from the hordes if used correctly. I will post pictures. In the first picture, you can double jump to the platform behind you if needed, or you can fall off and run away. In the second picture, you can run right up the stairs. Shotguns have a push effect, so the way should be clear as you move.
I beat the first level just using the pirate cannons and Phoenix upgrades, I went for extra ammo relics and had cannon balls flying all over the place, beat the first level after maybe 5-10 runs max from starting the game, no guides or crazy skillful movement, just funneling the bad guys along those rafters and hopping to another rafter when they got too overwhelming.
Always used my blood skill on the bosses when they showed up and they’d go down pretty quickly, if they didn’t I’d go back to my rafters and kill til I got the meter back up and then go after them again, otherwise just hopping from rafter to rafter killing the bad guys and getting xp til I had to close the gates at the end, that got hectic but the phoenix familiars saved me enough to win. It’s not too bad, I spent way more time on the first level of vampire survivors than this until I got the hang of things, just keep trying and funnel bad guys, also I used the paladin if that helps, the stomp helped to get me out of a few tight spaces.
Yeah, the funneling mostly helps here and there, and it feels a tiny bit like cheesing in some areas.
I'm also using the paladin, and yes, I use the stomp rather often cause it's a nice AOE clearer.
Maybe I'll try it again... but it got super demotivating after a while.
The good thing is that there is still progression, at least.
And "Vampire Survivors" was also such a game with one death and then it was mostly smooth sailing.
I don't mind a harder game, but it feels like that I need to concentrate so much on the onslaught of enemies that I take is hit just by breathing wrong.
Looking at the radar means not looking at the screen, and half a second can be enouth to for a fatal result.
Thanks for this!
Right now, I'm glued at another game, but I will give it a try.
