Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate it.
Just to make sure I've understood correctly, this situation you are describing is taking place during Reborn 3 and Reputation Level 0?
We're working hard on a patch to smooth things up.
I suggest starting a new save. We hope you can find it super fun.
Cheers!
Okay! Thanks for letting me know.
So I think this last patch not working as intended ;)
I see, thanks for the feedback!
Each level has unique feelings to it. Collonade currently drops more souls, in the Sewers, you gain more gold and on Great Hall each path is different.
I suggest experimenting with different builds, trying to combine weapons of the same classes to gain more buffs.
And, of course, we are going to keep working hard to improve Vampire Hunters more and more :)
Cheers!
Just wanted to let you all know that we’ve just released another patch addressing the issues discussed here.
With the new changes on reborn, you’ll be able to feel as powerful as you did before. And we also improved the Reputation Level progression and Great Hall’s progression (and much more).
Check out the changelog here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2206270/view/3749865974224226942
And, of course, keep sharing your feedback because we are all ears.
Cheers!
Before the update the were levels I struggled with and after I blew past everything, never died once. I have more upgrade point then I know what to do with. I liked in upgrading in the before the patch, I liked grinding the level to be powerful. I liked upgrading and upgrading.
The weapon system in the new patch is clunky. To me you buy as many relics as you can and wait for the IV or V guns. I don't know how merge works or why I should care. There no upgrades that change the weapon visually. It seems like 5 is higher then 3 and that why you should buy it.
Monster drops are sporadic. sometimes I go through 2 or 3 levels where I don't have enough to buy and then suddenly I have 600 gold. I have all the upgrades why are there no drops.
I don't don't really like this game now and more than likely will shelve it for the next couple of months and how you make it better.
It very much feels like its stepped away from the rogue lite with the new shop compared to the previous version. I dislike re-buying/replacing of weapons, compared to just enhancing the ones I got. I rather liked how I could make builds, and having those unique effects (Like explosions on death, or triple shot launchers) That just don't exist in the new version.
I've also found it feels clunkier now. levelling up on some levels is going to get you damaged and you can't delay the level up/shop appearing.
More than once I've tried to jump a spike trap, and mid air proceeded to go into a shop. then once done shopping, take damage.
Regarding Merge, it allows you to transform two identical weapons of the same rarity into one of a higher rarity, for example, two I-grade rifles into one II-grade rifle
As for these weapon effects, they can still be found in their tier IV and V versions, such as the Launcher shooting 9 grenades or the flamethrower now firing a fireball.
Regarding the appearance of the shop, you can check the manual level up option, which should give you a hand ^^
Thanks for your feedback!
We are definitely reading everybody and thinking of ways to improve Vampire Hunters!
What you mentioned about leveling up in inconvenient moments can be solved by turning on "Manual Level Up" in the Options Menu. With it, you only go to the Shop screen when you want, through the Pause menu.
