Clan benefits between runs?

Hey. iam new here and addicted :)

i did 2 runs on the same clan. now i learned a new clan can also use my unlocked rune points.
Unlocked runes stay unlocked? So i can use them as soon as i connect to it in the new tree?
Why not just buy runes with rune points? as is thats a lot of waste since i pay for runes iam not connected to anymore? OK. a bit complicated but i understand.

Before i retire my current clan for some extra jewels, i ask myself: What are the benefits of starting a run in an existing clan?
Do formations, crafting recipes reset?
What else?
