Sandbox Campaign
I can't seem to Detach a unit from Nap's main army and move that Detachment to a separate location. Is the Sandbox Campaign broken?

Yes the Sandbox Campaign broken, I've never got it working properly which is a shame.
It's sad because the idea of actually moving a main force and army detachments around a campaign game board covering the actual ground of the real campaign is very interesting.

I'll take a look. I cannot remember if that's something that we did not do, or it's actually broken.

Thank you!
Thanks, norb.

Hurrah!
Agree, getting this to work would be a great plus for the game, got my fingers crossed...
I don't know what Norb did but, it seems fixed now. I urge everybody to try the Sandbox Campaign, which allows us to march the armies on a historical map of the 100 Days Campaign. I've been playing it for a day and a half, and it seems fixed now.
The Sandbox Campaign is working fine. I'm in the midst of a Waterloo-size Battle for the Supply Base of the Allied Armies. I am able to Save the game and return to the huge Battle at a later time.

It is quite fun to send Detachments and a Main Body towards historical map objectives, and then fight a Battle when enemy detachments collide.

There weren't any updates to the game so I am not sure anything was done...?
Something's different. It didn't work. Then since I started this thread, it started working.
Shrug... the game hasn't been updated in at least a couple of months
Sandbox Campaign, still looks the same, very basic, and there seems little control of anything. It is not obvious what you need to do, or how you achieve that, which puts me off investigating further. This is a shame as the sandbox campaign is something I would play, but I think it requires a lot more development and polishing first.

I did some googling and managed to find a video on facebook where someone did an actual tutorial for the sandbox campaign which helped me out a lot. The problem is when you start messing around with the larger OOBs from the papalkrieg mod it is almost impossible to get your enemy to commit to any decisive battles and you just end up with single enemy corps running around aimlessly refusing to fight your forces while you search in vain for a main body that you already know doesn't exist.

I did not update anything. I agree the UI is very confusing and it's hard to know what to do from in game. Even moving is difficult with having to click on the names. Does the AI issue only happen with the super large OOBs?
