Advice on Vergil Battle

Hi All
I've loved this game, very entertaining. Anyway I am at the last fight with Vergil and everytime I get him to one block of health he heals himself. This has happened about 4 times in one combat. How do I defeat when he starts healing himself?

That's nothing, you should have seen what he did in devil may cry 3!
But the devil trigger regen aside, the doppleganger is the key to this fight, you need to strike it if you're low on devil trigger juice, then, when you've filled the gauge enough, UNLEASH DANTE'S ♥♥♥♥ YOU MODE AND RAPE VERGIL AND HIS DEMONIC CHILDREN-
but only after he summons the doppleganger a second time to heal.
most of the fight should be devoted to avoiding vergil until his doppleganger leaves when they're both attacking you, when he kneels and the doppleganger comes out, lure it away from him, activate devil trigger and THEN hit him, that should end the fight.

Yeah, he's insane in 3, but I have a video of beating him wiht no damage, maybe that will help you out.

Thanks guys, I was able to defeat Vergil by unleashing Dante's rage the second time Vergil heals :)
Awesome game, I recommend it to all. Its the first time I have played DMC and I'm now a fan of the genre.
I enjoyed the whole interpretation of the world beset by demonic forces and the way Mundus used the media and banking institutions to convert humanity. I also enjoyed the combat the variety of combat moves you can choose. I will probably get the older DMC games now :)

It's the best DMC, you'll be surprised if you play the old ones at how archaic some design elements in them are, but lets hope we get more DmC in the nea rfuture. THey usually take 3-4 years beteen titles, which is too long.

3 is the best old one btw, but it has a horrible port, but if you get it, I can help you try to fix the controls.

Thx Oppressed, I'll get DMC 3 and let you know when I need help. I'm going to play Fallout 1 now, as RPG are my true gaming genre love, and then I'll get DMC 3 :)
