REAL Training Mode 2.0!!! Input???
THE RUB
We need a REAL training mode where there's a menu allowing you to set a number of enemies, which enemies, and obviously the difficulty. What if you have trouble with butchers initially? Do you REALLY have to goto the middle of a level to fight against one only to botch up your rating?

That's ♥♥♥♥ing ridiculous. What if we JUST want to fight? No missions, no level plaforming (though moderately fun sometimes), no bullcrap. Plus it'd be gold for youtubing. Hell, someone fighting against 4 dreamrunners?

I'D LIKE TO SEE THAT.

TL;DR (what i want)
  • This is a PRACTICE mode. NOT arena. So don't suggest it.

  • NEED options to throw in 10 eenemies of each type
  • option to set difficulty
  • Ability to use big interesting "arena" stages potentially.

I agree completely, you can only train so much against one guy. I'm getting to the point where it's not so much the combos anymore, but the fact that my situational awareness isn't as keen as it should be and certain situations that I have a hard time handling. I'd dig having a mode I can just experiment in and not have to worry about dying. You can't even practice dodge timing in training mode because the mob doesn't attack.

BP is coming, but I'd love to see a training mode where you could set what mobs you want and just practice.

definitely...i was kind of surprised and wonder why the hell do developers make such stupid choices or leave out stuff....or not even think of it. Just makes me upset.

But BP...? what do you mean BP?

No, it will be a free, separate download.

I think something like this would be better served in the form of something like the Trial Creator from Dante's Inferno's Trials of St. Lucia DLC. It would have a bit more utility and also probably be more likely to happen since it would be able to be justifiably sold as DLC.

yeah i guess you're right. I just wish they'd do SOMETHING about it. Because I'm tired of the peripheral stuff to fight things after the 3rd playthrough

This is the first time they had training feature on a DMC game, so it's quite premature. Many aspect can be improved, like setting enemy type and behavior and lcoation. Would be nice to see it developed fully. I'd love to see many unlockables in it that encourage replaying the game. Like, by default you only have Lesser Stygian with lowest only passive behavior available, once you kill more enemies you get them unlocked in the training room. It would be more interesting than concept art for a each certain number of kills. They should name it cooler than 'training', i'd prefer 'devilboy's chamber'.

yeahh for sure. idk it just doesnt seem that hard to code in. Idk about "behavior" necessarily since we want them to attack mainly, but a counter for how many of whatever kind of enemy would be fun. But thats a good idea with the name
