Graphics seem to stick very low no matter what settings.
Before I jump into anything else my specs are the following:

i7 920 quad-core 2.6
8 gigs of ram ddr3
ATI Radeon HD 5850x2 (Crossfire)

Although I ''might'' not be able to run the game in ultra I run a solid 60 fps, 60 hz, v-sync enabled as well as HD textures, HD antialiasing and HD Shadows. Running at 1920x1080.

Here's the problem: whether I put the game on low or ultra, the game graphics BARELY change. In fact, it's unnoticeable. When I hit apply changes, you can see the image change a bit from the switch but the clothes, faces, the ground etc. look pixelated no matter what setting I'm running. Ultra looks like low and vice versa.

I have updated my drivers (up to CCC 13.2)

They ripped out your money, you should ask for a refund, buy a game with better graphics.

Mmm thats weird. Did you turn on HD textures, shadows?
Gaboune Jan 31, 2013 @ 7:41pm
Yes, that's one of the first things I mentioned actually.
Gaboune Jan 31, 2013 @ 7:46pm
I've seen the graphics on ultra on some youtube videos and it looks no where near like mine. It just doesn't change either on low or ultra.
K4thulu Jan 31, 2013 @ 7:57pm
Ohh im sorry i didnt notice you mentioned them :P. Did you try disabling the crossfire? I know it sound weird, but some people were having issues with it. Maybe it can solve your problem.
Gaboune Jan 31, 2013 @ 8:01pm
Yes I've tried disabling crossfire, doesn't change anything at all, enabling it again doesn't change anything at all either.

I'm pretty much running out of ideas..

Turn V-Sync off. Keeps your fps at 30 or lower on alot of games. Depends on your monitor refresh rate.
Gaboune Jan 31, 2013 @ 9:54pm
Fps isn't the problem and I've already try enabling/disabling V-sync.

Is people even reading what I wrote? everything is maxed out at the highest possible graphics at 1920x1080.

defaultengine.ini usually located at
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\DmC Devil May Cry\DevilGame\Config

i dont know why its not working, but check if you have the same as below in your file. it was found around 70% down. in the file. if they re false, change them to true, im crossing my fingers this works for you.

;QLOC++
[SystemSettings]
bEnableHighQualityAA=TRUE
bEnableHighResolutionShadows=TRUE
bEnableHighResolutionTextures=TRUE

Yes it's all set to true already =/

Graphics still look the same on ultra and low...Weird bug I just can't figure it out.
