Xbox 360 Controller not functioning properly

I have an official wired xbox 360 controller that works perfectly with other titles, however when i attempt to use it with DMC, the game responds as if my right analog stick is stuck in the upwards position. Everytime I try to scroll down in the options menu, when i release the analog stick the cursor constantly moves by itself to the top of the menu. In gameplay, the camera is constantly moving to the sky. I know it isnt the controller seeing as it work fine with other steam games and my Xbox, but i cant figure out how to correct this issue in-game or out of game. Ideas?

Try getting rid of the drivers and plug the controller back in

i tries both those ideas but nothing has seemed to work so far. DMC still is having the same problem, but i have also found that Deadlight, which is supposed to have full controller support is completely unresponsive to my controller. It works perfectly fine in Steam Big Picture mode though. The controllers analog axis behaves perfectly normal.

I actually had a fix, apparently there was some kind of driver conflict, i had three drivers instead of two.
I can't recall which one i disabled, but it fixed everything.
now it's only me sucking at the game that makes it unplayable XD

Still no luck. I tried uninstalling drivers, running registy verification software, uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, plugging in the controller AFTER i start the game... nothing is working, I hope some kind of fix comes around.

Try restarting the game with the controller plugged in. and unplug all other accessories or joysticks, make sure you don't have some process running the background like xpadder and such.

Ok so i just installed steam on my laptop and installed DMC.. the controller works fine... but i STILL cant figure out why it wont work on my pc? what could possibly be different or causing it to function differently?

Same problem here. I reinstalling steam and dmc with synh files off and that help. But you gonna lost your saves.

Make sure that nothing else is plugged in. I've seen some weird stuff when other controllers (think: steering wheel, guitar, some keyboards) were plugged in at the same time.

@CameO73 Thank you so much man. The information in the link helped me to finally get to play the game the way i wanted. Ive been frustrated over this issue for almost 4 days now. At least i can finally GET TO THE GAME lol. Thanks again!

For me, I had another input device plugged in - a Saitek X52 where the throttle was at a non-neutral point, causing my camera to slowly rotate and overriding the right analog stick on my XBOX controller. Returning all inputs to their zero position allowed my XBOX controller to take over the show as desired.

@CameO73: u r amazing! thank u bro. it works now. All i had 2 do was plug out every other accessories connected to my pc. Including my mouse. Otherwise the ♥♥♥♥ would start acting weird again. :)

just got this game in the sale and could not get more than a few minutes in due to crashing and controller bugs. couldnt choose any options apart from the first in any menu, onscreen control tutorials also kept defaulting back to keyboard from wired xbox controller. had unplugged everything but no joy. am sooooo glad i saw the link for the capcom controller fix posted here..... game now works perfectly! thanx!
