Osiris vs. Aquila - Arbiter vs. Eryx

I'd like to see some discussion on these counter parts.

I find it hard to judge these weapons as the serve the same purpose... Osiris does crowd, Aquila does crowd. Arbiter is slow but high dmg, Eryx ditto.

Without seeing numbers, I find it hard to make up my mind what weapon to use. You get the latter of the two later on in the game, but does that make the first one obsolete? Is there still a reason to use Osiris over Aquila?

1 way to get overwhelming score is to do demon evade then use aquila to do buy in on the ground and use trillion stab like maniac.if you do this on a gathered group and your move catches 2 enemies getting hit simutaneously from the stabs SSS will come in no time.

start it and finish it with trillion stabs or when doing the stabs on the group just use hightime technique to draw not just the 2 enemies you were hitting but the whole group midair.then use midair tremor with arbiter on all of them.then while they will still be in the air use full overdrive (will be fully charged when they will land) and when you hit em with 3 waves then flush move with arbiter.thats what i do at least for score matters.

Using Eryx pretty hard, due the fact that it's counter rape tyrants when they are engaging Dante.

Totally forgot about Osiris after getting the Aquilla.

Osiris is good when u face enemies that one take damage from angelic weapons, aquila doesn't do as much damage as osiiris so it takes forever to kill them without it. Eryx is ok if u don't want too much delay when there are many fast enemies near u but arbiter is much better overall imo.

Well i am a Fan of the Eryx weapon I use it quite alot in combat to scater big groups of enemies or stop them from using enraging atacks otherwhise impossible with other weapons not to mention sending Tyrant chargers flying up into the air and then pumelling them into the ground with an charged ground pounder atack from the air.

Aquila is great for Croud Control especially when you have multiple ice or ghost dogs atacking you at the same time (ofcourse i miss the frezy punch at blazing fast speed witch the Bewolf Gloves from DMC3 wore dooing on a certain combo finisher or how Dante was saying "Down and out!" on the last more powerfull hit witch was knocking ememy back but i still enjoy Eryx).

Osiris is great for damage after the targets are cc-ed by Aquila. Also using the shreder ability is awsome for distroying the shields of ice demons or using prop shreder is also amazing for sending back to where they came from the 3 swords wich the witch demons spawn also great for breaking their bubble shield.

Arbiter well I use this one too sometimes cause I like to mix combos up but as I sayd I still prefer to use Eryx instead.

Rebelion is my most favourite weapon a great all round weapon for lifting enemies to the celing :)) with roulete spin combo LoL and awsome for killing the twin buzzsaw robot enemies with charged drive from range especially usefull when these ones have more complicated to dodge close quarters atacks in the Son of Sparda or Dante must die Difficulty .

In all I use all weapons also depending on situation or mood I feel in at any given moment but ofcourse mixing them up helps you get easyer the SSS rankings.
I hope my weapons review will be usefull to ya gave you some nice pointers for improving game play in hard mode dificultys.

It's kind of late, so I wont add to much to the discussion, but I feel like it'd be: Eryx > Arbiter, Osirus > Aquila. Rebellion + shotgun (name escapes me), with the grab and pull abilities, beats all of them though.

Osirus and Aquila are both equally useful, I feel nether weapon should be ignored.

People playing with only one of the two Angel weapons will never reach full damage potential. Same goes for Demon weapons.

Eryx is probably my favorite weapon, in the game... HOWEVER, it has the most disappointing move set, out of all of them.
