I have a feeling that if they make another DMC, they will incorporate Dante's old look (long white hair) since throughout the game his hair changes white.
They are surely gonna release tons of costumes DLC that gonna give differents haircuts.
You can have his white hairs in the game anyway, near the beginning.
this is just a loose comparison, so don't give it too much credit.
But the cat-eared dante fan art we're about to see on the internet after this post......
I honestly do hope he starts to at least resemble the old Dante considerably more than he does now. I don't mind the new look at all, and in fact I actually like the new interpretation of him character-wise, but he is missing the easy-going nature of the original Dante in fights that are clearly below him. When ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan, sure, be serious, but I would hope that above all in a possible sequel (which isn't likely) they cut down on the f-bomb, though. Or at least switch it up now and then. Some of the game's best jokes were ruined by it or haven't ended up as funny as they would have, otherwise.
Pretty much the only thing truly bad about the new Dante is that he's brimming with total potential to be a better character than the first, but he didn't quite get there.
Compared to old dante's hair, which is smoother, it kinda fits the identity of this new dante as being rougher and more brutal, and seperates the two in a very subtle visual fashion.
