My system:
AMD Bulldozer 8120 3,40Ghz (Max temp on DMC: 45º C, Core Temp: 48º C)
nVidia GeForce GTS 450 (Max 60º C)
ASUS m5a88-m (Max 35º C)
Hard disks are fine too, i can't remember the temp but never had problems (tests made with AIDA64)
Power Suppy are ok, the PC don't have any kind of freeze or shutdown.
I play with Joystick, using the native hook on DMC (no plugins for Joystick).
After some minutes (30 minutes about), the game start lagging and sound bugs, i close the game and open again and everything back to normal, no lag or sound bugs..
No problems with other games.
I've tried:
* Verify Cache (not solved)
* Delete everything and reinstall (not solved)
* Change sound sample rate to 44hz and 16-bit (not solved)
* Format my OS and reinstall everything (wt updated drivers, not solved)
* Use low settings on DMC (does matter High or low, the problem is the same)
So.. i can't solve this =/
You play with joystick? Follow this bellow (Locations may change due my Windows is PT-BR)
Go in start menu, and type the command "mmc devmgmt.msc" and press enter.
In "Human interface devices", disable everything (HID) except your Joystick or USB ports.
Rebot and try play without joystick.
If the problem are solved, try play with your joystick.
The bugs may appear again, so you will need some hook for your joystick, like X360CE or any DInput.dll.
The game had those kind of problems when I started playin' it, after about 5-10 minutes in mission it started to be laggy and only went worse the more I kept playin'.
I wondered why since I have a quite efficient pc and no bugs on any other game I play (by the way, my controller is DS4 but I don't think this problem is exclusive to DS4 since I saw persons talking about XBOX360 controller and even Steam controller ... anyways), so I went on many forums to solve this, I tried turning on and off settings (VSync, ...) and lowering graphic resolutions (textures, shadows, ...) in the options menu and tried re-installing the whole game but none of that worked (if didn't make it worse ^^) ...
Until I found an interesting post of a person explaining how the game is trying to recognize the controller and can't do it if the driver isn't on exclusive mode, recommending installing a specific driver for DS4 controller that would seem to have the exclusive mode (but still was different from mine).
As a result, I simply updated my DS4 driver to get exclusive mode (free of charge of course) and now all roll smooth, and I was able to finish the game without ever getting those problems again (Just one single crash in game but totally no related, I guess, since I wasn't even close to half story when I fixed the problem, since I finished the game today, and since I never had any other crash after this).
Just wanted to help since I didn't find that answer on this forum (though I may be wrong :/ ...).
Hope this may be useful. (And please forgive my bad syntax or any kind of mistake, it's been a looooong time since I last spoke english ^^ + forgive the looong comment ^^, wanted to make sure it was clear since I'm not used speaking english).
Bye. :), and if I helped, ENJOY SLICING F***ING DEMONS !!! :P ^^. All others, I wish you luck.
I fixed the issue playing with an Xbox 360 Controller.
For those, who use DS4Windows -- click "Hide Controller".
