Menu Glitching

I can't even get past the menu, it keeps scrolling continuously upwards so I can only choose the top options. I've unplugged everything, restarted my computer and re-installed the game twice, I can't figure this out

that sounds awfully wierd lol. maybe try closing all background programs you can? try compat mode and run the game as admin as well i guess

I have the same Problem. Its not only the up-arrow. Ingame the camera is moving upwards continuously too.

I don't have a controller plugged it. This might be a problem with more modern mice and keyboards that Ninja Theory doesn't support anymore. I honestly don't know. I was hoping there would be a solution here but i can't find one.
I've restarted my computer, the guy at the top has reinstalled a few times, and I've unplugged and plugged back in my mouse and keyboard.

Do you have the same issue 5M0k1N? I appreciate you trying to help but this just sucks. Maybe some other day I'll try again but I'd like to get my money back maybe the last day of the sale and get something that works.

no i dont have it. id try closing any background application you can find as well, just in case theres an odd compatibility issue somewhere. even disable steam UI and add to that compatibility mode, admin privileges and windowed mode :p

I'm having the same issue with my controller (but not with just my keyboard and track pad) and I'm relatively sure it's not a matter of background apps or the controller (the controller works fine on other games and I've tried multiple controllers).

Edit: Never mind. It seems like it's just my laptop slowly dieing. I have no issues on my desktop.

I just wanted to play the game again, and now find myself with the exact same issue. :(

You need to turn on your controller before entering the game otherwise the crap port will do this infinite scroll upwards.

The same happened here (Xbox One controller) but it is working fine now.

Nope, I found the fix, it was adding a "dinput8.dll" into one of the gamefolders as described here in a different thread:

It's the first thing thats pops up when you search for it on google.
Then just put it in steam>steamapps>common>DmC Devil May Cry>binaries>win32
Or atleast that's the exact steps i did to fix it. Tho i don't know what fixed it, if it was the dll file, or changing ds3 tool settings.

thanks for this suggestion. plugging it in before starting up the game fixed my issue

I might be a little late to the party but i was having the same problem and the solution for me was disconnecting an adapter that i use for playing clone hero. right as i pulled it out there where no problems.
