Too easy ?
Hi,

I like Devil Macy Cry games (DMC1, DMC3, and DMC 4).
But I have not bought this game yet be cause I was said it was too easy.
I even red that Dante Must Die in this game was easier then DMC 3 's normal difficulty oO
Beat Em All and especially DMC games, have to be hard for me, so I would like to have a confirmation if this title is that easy ?

I am fine with an easy game in the starting difficulty, but I wish the game gets at least challenging in Dante Must Die.

Thx for the help

It's a bit easier than the 3rd one I must confess, but theres not such a big difference like you describe. It's a challenging one, especially with the Hell and Hell mode (like in DMC4).
This game is what you want, really. I loved the old titles, but this one here is mere perfection.

Have fun and good luck nailing it.

OK thanks I might buy it if it gets good sales during summer.

it takes the same principle for overcoming the difficulty, which is taking control of opponents, but the difficulty comes from the crowds of opponents ganging up on you, and not just individual enemies and their power.

I have played DMC 1,2,3, and 4 and this is a serious SERIOUS tone down in difficulty compared to the first 4. I loved DMC 3 and 4 because they were actually decently fun and challenging and loved Bloody Palace on DMC 4 (Even though I could never make it past level 25, tried a million times).
This DMC is mad mad fun in my opinion, but as far as difficulty goes, its a serious tone down from the last 4. Im not disappointed whatsoever, but I get what your looking for.
I think they just re designed it so much that they just gave you so many options, and you can really utilize the hell out of them if your a good button masher.
I have loved DMC and this is by far my favorite bceause its just fun.

Yea ok thx, but a non challenging DMC is a bad DMC to me...
Is the game at least hard in Dante Must Die ?
I'd be fine with that...

yeah it can be but the longer you play the more skilled you get and it can be pretty easy if you play for more than 2 hours

What is the last difficulty called ? Hell vs hell or soemthing liek this?
The enemys have full hp and you die after the first hit ;)

Son of Sparta is pretty hard.
But for that, you have to play through the game one time.

in DMC3 the 'Normal' Difficulty for the US was actually the 'Hard' Mode for the Japanese version because they took to the heart the comments about DMC2 being far too easy, here it is their actual modes, Human of course Very Easy, Devil Hunter is Easy, Nephilim is normal, Son of Sparda is hard, Dante Must Die is Very Hard, Heaven and Hell is just sudden death match, must say... you can shoot pretty much anything or get their shields off and shoot them either way, but Hell and Hell mode is the Hardest Dificulty which is the enemies on Dante Must Die difficulty but they have their full health and you die in a single poke

as some one who beat all the devil may cry game on dmd inculuding this one
the diffuclty is a joke compared to 3
but its still worth playing i preffuer the combat of 1'3 and 4 but the combat in dmc is still really good

It took me 250+ hours of combined play to get 89 SS out of 100 in DMC3.

In DMC 5 on Dante must die, the first run through I got 15 perfect scores (SSS) out of 20.
So if you're searching for difficulty, this may not be for you. From an expert.

Just to note, Hell and Hell uses the hard/very hard prefix. It's difficult, but if you already hunted for SS ranks in Dante Must Die then it's nothing since in DMD in order to get a perfect score you cannot take a single digit of damage, except in DMC4 and 5. They removed the damage taken value.

Well... how well do you think you would have done on DmC if you had never played 250+ hours of DMC3?

It's hard. Well, maybe not on normal, but on higher difficulty yes. This game is challenging. I've seen a lot of "game over screen" when I was playing this game on my PS3 on harder modes. Now I'm playing it again on PC and god......... never coming back to consoles (except for exclusives).

For me, this game is harder than DMC 1. If you like hack and slash games, the difficulty with this one is alright. But if you have no life and played DMC3 300 hours straight, MAYBE it's not for you. Devil May Cry 3 is considered by fans to be the best and the hardest too, but I never played this one so I cannot tell.

I've never been a fan of the franchise anyway, but this reboot is awesome. I did finish Devil May Cry 1 on the hardest difficulty setting back in the day and found it easier than the reboot. Devil May Cry 2, I lost interest after a few hours and Devil May Cry 4, same story as DMC 2, I was bored pretty fast. I need to try DMC3 one day...

This game offers six difficulties in total. On the hardest difficulties it gets very difficult - you can be assured of that.
