Dude how can I use DS4 in DmC?
It could be the game is only programmed to recognize xbox 360-type controllers specifically?
The issue is that unless you connect the DS4 in exclusive mode DmC freaks out because it is fighting for control with other programs who are saying "HEY THIS IS A DS4" while DS4 windows is going "NO ITS NOT ITS A XBOX CONTROLLER SHHHH".
What you need to do is download the newest DS4Windows and close all Steam and Steam-like programs and games (anything that would use a controller or take notice of it).
Once you have done that, on DS4Windows click "Connect Exclusively". This runs a small script that kills explorer (on windows 10 explorer takes notice of DS4 when its connected and prevents exclusive mode) and then it will ask you to plug in your controller.
Once DS4Windows takes notice of the controller it will put it in exclusive mode and restart explorer automatically.
If it doesnt work the first time just try again usually takes me 2 tries after a reboot.
Once you have that done DmC will only see the DS4 as an Xbox 360 controller and you can enjoy DmC with the best controller on the market (subject to change when I get my steam controller next week).
Does this work with Windows 10?
Great thanks this worked.
Under settings choose "Hide DS4 controller". Remember to do this before launching Steam or any other gaming client.
