Will There Be A Sequel?
Seriously, did this flop that badly? I enjoyed it even though it rewrote some of my favorite parts of Devil May Cry. Sequel Potential Level?

It is far more likely that Capcom will go back to the original universe and make Devil May Cry 5 instead of DmC 2.

But at the moment we know nothing about what Capcom is working on.

As of now DMC5 is rumored to be in the works, since all the "fans" cried so much and got DmC 2 cancelled.

I hope they do a sequel. Only real issue i had was the way the story was written. And the lines dante had. That kind of killed it for me improve those things and it would be a great game. Two other issues that are not to big of a deal. Is combos felt a bit off and devil trigger was a mess. Launching enemies into the air and they stay there really...... Ninja Theory.

I have a bet going that if DmC2 gets remade, an early cut-scene will involve Dante throwing money into a swear jar and complaining about how there's not a single hairdresser in the demon-infested city.

DmC was actually a success and got good reviews, but it wasn't a big enough success. Shame. I liked the contemporary direction it went in. It wasn't cancelled because of people whining over nothing, it wasn't even in development. Capcom prefers to make sequels of things that are a great success, and have always done so since the 90s. Problem is, they tend to milk a franchise to breaking point.

Capcom already stated that they won´t work on a DmC 2 game because of their other projects (at least for now).

This DMC wasn't even bad and a sequel would have been great but thanks to all the whiny fanboys we can't have it. Some people just can't accept change :/.

The more important question is how will they implement Nero and Trish into the lore of DMC 2 they were the best side characters

As much as I'd like a redheaded Trish, I think it would be better for them to create their own characters. This way they have the creative freedom to create any kind of playstyle they want rather than just restrict themselves to just translating an existing playstyle to their own game.
